Megabonk weapons
Sources checked Megabonk Wiki weapons page and the megabonk.org weapon index reviewed for v1.0.69 (28 Jul 2026). Counts differ by one weapon. Tornado’s sandstorm requirement differs. May change with patches.
Seven weapons are available immediately: Sword, Flamewalker, Lightning Staff, Firestaff, Chunkers, Bone, and Bow.
The rest are tasks, then a Silver purchase. A community index reviewed for v1.0.69 lists 30 weapons total, including Scythe. An older wiki table stopped at 29 and omitted Scythe.
Your character starts holding one of them. Level that one before you fill every slot.
Tornado’s unlock text does not match across the two indexes. Use the line in your Unlocks menu.
Weapons are the things that hit. Tomes are the stats underneath them. Items are the third pile. Steam never publishes a weapon total. It says you unlock characters, weapons, and items, and that upgrade offers are random and vary in rarity.
Available from the start
| Weapon | What the indexes agree it does |
|---|---|
| Sword | A slash through several enemies. Sir Oofie’s start, and the kill counter for Axe and Dexecutioner. |
| Flamewalker | A fire trail behind you. |
| Lightning Staff | Lightning on nearby enemies. The level-15 task for Wireless Dagger. |
| Firestaff | Exploding fireballs. Fox’s start. |
| Chunkers | Rocks that orbit you. |
| Bone | Bones that bounce. Calcium’s start. |
| Bow | Arrows that pierce. Robinette’s start. |
Unlock, then buy
Effects are the short version both indexes share. Where only one page adds a stat such as “Projectile Speed 16” or “Damage 16,” it is left out. May change with patches.
| Weapon | Effect | Unlock task |
|---|---|---|
| Revolver | Several bullets. | Kill 7,500 enemies. |
| Aegis | Blocks and sends shockwaves. | Block 500 damage with Armor as Sir Oofie. |
| Bananarang | A projectile that returns. | Find the hidden banana in the Forest. |
| Aura | Damage around you. | Take no damage for 2 minutes straight. |
| Axe | Spinning thrown axes. | Kill 2,000 enemies with the Sword. |
| Space Noodle | A tether that hurts enemies between you and a target. | Clear Desert Tier 2 as Tony McZoom. |
| Sniper Rifle | A piercing shot. Can be aimed. | Precision Tome to level 10. |
| Slutty Rocket | Homing missiles. That is the name on both indexes. | Kill 15,000 enemies as CL4NK. |
| Shotgun | A spread shot. Can be aimed. | A low drop chance from Desert stage 2 tumbleweeds, then purchase. Both pages say about 5%. |
| Mines | Proximity mines. | Kill 7,500 enemies with Slutty Rocket. |
| Wireless Dagger | Homing daggers. | Lightning Staff to level 15. |
| Frostwalker | Freeze and damage nearby. | Freeze 1,000 enemies with the Ice Cube. |
| Tornado | Tornadoes that knock enemies back. | Charge a Charge Shrine during a Desert sandstorm. One index says once; the other says 5 times. |
| Dexecutioner | A piercing blade that can execute. | Kill 12,500 enemies with the Sword. |
| Blood Magic | Hits that can raise max HP on kill. | Bloody Tome to level 12. |
| Black Hole | Pulls enemies in. | Knockback Tome to level 10. |

| Dragon’s Breath | Fire in the direction you are moving, or an auto-aimed flame on the newer index. | Kill 1,000 Wisps as Fox in the Desert. |
| Dice | A 1–6 hit. | Luck Tome to level 12. |
| Hero Sword | A slash plus a ranged slash. | Beat a stage boss with no items, powerups, or shrines, then purchase. |
| Corrupted Sword | Hits both ways and hits harder at low HP. | Cursed Tome to level 20 in under 10 minutes, then purchase. |
| Scythe | A circle around you. On the newer index, elite kills charge a stronger swing. | Defeat Big Bob in the Graveyard, then purchase. |
How to read a weapon offer
- Slots are limited until quest milestones let you buy more. See Unlocks.
- Quantity and projectile speed help guns and thrown weapons. They do less for a trail that is not a projectile. The tome page says Quantity does not apply to every weapon.
- Manual aim (Sniper Rifle, Shotgun) is a different game from Aura and Flamewalker. Do not take an aim weapon on a run where you wanted to watch the minimap.
- Character pairings — who starts with what — are on Characters.
