Megabonk items
Sources checked Steam store text (70+ items) on 20 Oct 2026, plus item names that appear in character, weapon, and unlock write-ups. No client audit of rarities or shop prices.
Items are the third unlock pile, next to weapons and tomes. The Steam description says 70+ unique items with synergies. Fan databases have since counted higher.
Gold spends during a run, on chests and shops. Silver spends between runs, in the Unlocks menu.
This page names only items that a cited unlock actually requires. It is not a complete item list.
Prices, rarities, and whether two similar names are the same object may change with patches.
Steam groups the fantasy in one sentence: unlock characters, weapons, and items, and find synergies. It does not define an item. From the way unlock guides talk, an item is something you find, buy, or are offered during a run, separate from the weapon you fire and the tome you level. Chests are the usual shop. Beginner guides say chest prices rise as you open more of them, and that bosses can drop a free one. That price curve is community reporting. Watch the number on your screen.
Two currencies
| Currency | Where it goes | Typical mistake |
|---|---|---|
| Gold | Chests and other spends inside the run | Hoarding it on Robinette can be the build, because her damage scales with gold carried. On anyone else, an unopened chest is just a number. |
| Silver | Unlocks menu between runs | Spending the whole run chasing Silver pots while a boss timer is up. |
Pots (and pumpkins, on Graveyard notes) are the small ground containers. They are worth taking when they are already on your route.
Items the unlock list actually names
If a guide tells you to “get the good items,” it is usually one of these tasks. Wording is the community page’s, not a claim this site dropped the item.
| Name | Why it shows up |
|---|---|
| Moldy Cheese | Amog’s unlock is 50,000 enemies poisoned with it. |
| Ice Crystal | Noelle’s unlock is duplicating one in a Microwave three times in a row. |
| Ice Cube | Frostwalker’s unlock is freezing 1,000 enemies with it. It may or may not be the Ice Crystal under another name. The pages use both words. |
| Leeching Crystal | Three in one run is the Kevin unlock on the unlock index. |
| Microwave | An interactable, not a passive. Noelle’s task uses it. Graveyard notes say that map has more of them than Forest or Desert. |
Steam’s highlighted achievements also use gear-like names (Cactus, Cursed Doll, Forbidden Juice, Brass Knuckles, Anvil, Ghost, and others). Until a page you trust ties each achievement to an item effect, do not assume the icon is the whole mechanic.
How items interact with a build
- A synergy is a pairing the store promises and the databases try to spell out. If you cannot name the pairing, the item is not a plan yet.
- Banish and the Toggler, once you have bought them, are how you stop a bad item from filling the offer pool. See Unlocks.
- Hero Sword’s challenge forbids picking items and powerups up and forbids shrines. If you are attempting that clear, leave the chests alone on purpose.
- Hats were added in the 25 Jan 2026 v1.0.64 post (21 hats). They are cosmetics-or-unlocks of their own and are not in this table.
For the stats that sit under every item, use Tomes. For the things that do the hitting, use Weapons.
